Join us for movies in the Library!

Thursday Features is a monthly showing of movies in the library. In July we are showing Summer Vacation movies.

July 2nd Sandlot

The Sandlot is a 1993 coming-of-age sports comedy set in the summer of 1962. It follows Scotty Smalls, an awkward new kid who joins a local neighborhood baseball team. The boys spend their endless summer days playing at a local dirt lot and going on various hilarious misadventures.

July 16th Little Miss Sunshine

Little Miss Sunshine follows the deeply dysfunctional Hoover family on an 800-mile road trip from Albuquerque to California. They embark on this chaotic journey in their unreliable yellow Volkswagen van to support their seven-year-old daughter, Olive, who has qualified for the "Little Miss Sunshine" children's beauty pageant.

July 30th The Notebook

The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks is a heart-wrenching romantic tale about Noah and Allie, two lovers separated by social class and World War II. The story is famously framed by an elderly man reading their romance from a notebook to an Alzheimer's patient, ultimately revealing an emotional twist about the power of enduring love.
