An interactive event for job seekers
Many applicants are swept along in a twisting, collapsing, and dismal experience in today’s job market. Emerging opportunities, though, will be available to those who prepare. We will focus on roadmaps to the future. Including tuning in, doing research, connecting as never before, and adding current value to employers that will make a difference in accomplishing future initiatives. As hard skills are taken over by AI, a rise in demand is projected for soft skills. Skills in rising demand include interpersonal relations, articulation of complex concepts and technologies, leadership, persuasion, creativity, critical thinking, and other human attributes. Future-proofing actions you can take include staying alert to media newsfeed related to jobs, using LinkedIn as a research/training platform, and becoming an acute observer of rising and falling job openings, as well as the changing composition of jobs. Networking, upskilling in public speaking, and strengthening abilities to express points of view will be increasingly valued. You may improve these abilities by participating in discussion groups and volunteering in leadership and communication roles. We will adapt our discussion to the interests of the participants. Attendees are invited to bring questions, observations, and tips to share with others.
