An interactive event for job seekers
Your resume can do more for you, more than a bare-bones version that passes digital scanning filters used to select resumes for further scrutiny and decisions to invite you to interview. We will discuss ways to bring your strengths to decision makers (recruiters and hiring managers) that include enhancing and customizing your resume well beyond matching key words in postings. Then, in addition to the resume, we will show use of 1-sheet presentations that spark conversations and focus on strengths including your ability to make a difference and your potential to add value. The 1-Sheets have uses different from your resume, and they would never pass through digital screening. Instead they are valuable supplements to your resume to be used in networking and reinforcing the steps between interview and job offer. In addition, they are effective in building your brand and your confidence! Attendees will see demonstrations of cases and resume layouts that work in a variety of contexts. This is an interactive workshop with lots of opportunities to ask questions and contribute tips to others.
