On Thursday, March 12th from 4-5pm, put on your dancing shoes and come by the Claremont Branch to hear live mariachi music by Mariachi Luz de Oro de Berkeley!
Mariachi Luz de Oro de Berkeley is a student-run mariachi group founded in 2012 at UC Berkeley. Established to celebrate musical and cultural diversity by expanding awareness and appreciation of the Mexican art form of mariachi, the ensemble performs traditional and contemporary Mexican music at university and community events throughout the Bay Area.
