An interactive event for job seekers
What if? Your resume sparked inspiration, was persuasive, landed your bullet points with impact, and created a memorable impression? What if it engaged your audience, created a call to action, increased your reader’s curiosity about your accomplishments, then capture your reader’s interest in learning more. All these features can be wrapped into your resume. Certainly, key words from job postings in your resume hold prerequisite status in submitting your application online. As necessary as this is, it is NOT sufficient! Let’s discuss the power of proven methods in securing interviews and job offers. We will discuss communication strategies including branding, messaging, audiences, visual layout, reader/viewer engagement, call to action, and more. We will also cover the added clout available in opportunities to present your career self in your LinkedIn profile and postings, at networking events, and in volunteer capacities. Attendees are encouraged to enrich our discussion by sharing their questions, dilemmas, and tips.
