Join us for a food gardening workshop with Compost Gal Lori Caldwell!
Sustainability educator Lori Caldwell will lead us in workshops to successfully grow your own food.
Seed Saving
The practice of saving seeds for future use is as old as cultivation. The fun art of saving seeds is the focus for this workshop and seed swap. Participants will learn how retrieve, sort and store seeds.
Eat What You Grow
There is nothing more satisfying than eating food from your own garden. We will cover topics such as: seeds vs. starts, soil fertility, and plant succession, companion planting, transplanting seedlings, watering /irrigation, and the best crops for your garden. Emphasis on reuse materials will also be discussed.
Check out this interview from the Ecology Center to get to know Lori Caldwell better.
