Participants will deep-dive into various social relational topics through the lens of non-violent communication.
Join us for a workshop series exploring Non-Violent Communication (NVC)—a method of compassionate dialogue rooted in empathy, honesty, and mutual understanding. Grounded in the civil rights legacy of Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, NVC offers practical tools for navigating challenging conversations and building deeper connection in personal, social, and systemic contexts.
Each 75-minute session blends discussion, interactive materials, and featured books to guide participants through real-world applications of NVC. Topics include navigating medical violence in reproductive care, practicing empathy with unhoused neighbors, building trust in ethical non-monogamy, gentle parenting, and healing from state violence. Participants will take home free materials (e.g. zines, NARCAN, and resources), with a focus on cultivating community-centered change.
Whether you're looking to deepen your relationships or shift how you show up in systems of care and advocacy, this series offers space for reflection, growth, and action. All are welcome.
