Claremont Area Flex Spacewith Dr. Aisha Julia Lee of South Bay Internal Healing
According to the CDC, in 2023, 24.3% of adults had chronic pain. In this talk, we will discuss natural reasons why the body manifests pain, what the healing process for pain may look like, strategies to cope with pain during the healing process, and beneficial attitudes that support pain relief. Some common areas of pain (such as knee, lower back, shoulder, neck, headache) will be discussed from the perspective of meridians running through those areas, as well as organs that pain can be referred from. This talk is also suitable for caregivers and family members of those with chronic pain, to learn more about how to communicate with and support loved ones going through pain.
Dr. Lee practices internal healing in Santa Clara, which focuses on healing the root of internal medicine diseases. There is an emphasis on meditation and inner work in Dr. Lee's approach. In her work with clients, Dr. Lee integrates knowledge of the meridian system with modern medicine and science.
Dr. Lee grew up in the South Bay, received a B.S. in Chemical Biology from UC Berkeley, and worked in biotech research for a few years prior to pursuing medical training. Dr. Lee graduated from UC San Diego with an MBA and completed her doctoral degree in Chinese medicine at California Institute of Integral Studies. She spent 20+ years researching and practicing medicine at the intersection of science, spirituality, and healing.
