Community Meeting RoomA book club for the IDD adult community
Join us for a weekly read aloud book club where the members choose the next read. This library event is designed for and welcomes adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in the community. This weekly program was co-designed with Ala Costa Center.
The first meeting will be Tuesday, September 1, at the Central Library's Community Meeting Room. At the first meeting, members will gather together to introduce themselves and create their book club's agreements and practices (basically the ground rules of how you want to communicate).
Members will choose the books they want to read aloud to each other at each gathering.
