Fiber artist Laura Tandeske shares how 50+ years of embroidery has influenced her well-being.
Laura Tandeske learned to embroider at the age of five and shares the impact embroidery has had on her own well-being over the last 50+ years in this free talk. Laura Tandeske learned to embroider at the early age of 5 years old. After being mostly self-taught she wanted a more formal education in art and embroidery. She studied Fine Art at California State University East Bay, and embroidery with the Embroiderers Guild of America and San Francisco School of Needlework and Design. She has been teaching embroidery for 10 years. Her piece called “Balance” toured the United States and Canada as part of the 2 year Sixteenth National Exhibit with the Embroiderers Guild of America. She has won numerous awards including “Best in Show” at the California State Fair in Sacramento.
