Celebrate Black Birder's Week 2025 by getting outside, spending time with your community, and learning about the birds of the East Bay! In partnership with EBRPD.

Meeting location: Tilden Nature Area, Environmental Education Center

Library staff will tag along with East Bay Regional Park District staff to celebrate Black Birders Week 2025 to learn about birds of the East Bay, and have a safe space for guided discussions about Black experiences and the outdoors. From chirps and screeches to the beautiful melodies that birds put forth into the world, the forest is alive with their voices. We’ll “bird by ear” and also get to see many beautiful, feathered denizens of the forest. Binoculars and snacks provided! All are welcome.
