An extreme music listening session + drawing contest: Immerse yourself in the brutal sounds of death, doom, grind and other subgenres of metal and punk this holiday season with Krampus Among Us!

The Art & Music department at Berkeley Public Library presents an extreme music listening session, focused on the heaviest, bleakest sounds from the fringes of noise and beyond.

Feel welcome to bring a copy of your favorite tune on a slab of wax, tape, or cd, and we'll try to work it into the mix. Share what you love about it or simply add to the mayhem!

Attendees will also have the opportunity to compete in a Krampus drawing contest. Bring your own supplies or use ours! Best artwork wins a near mint copy of Slayer's "Christ Illusion" on vinyl! 

WARNING: All are welcome, but be advised - this listening session will feature intense music at loud volumes with lyrical and artistic content that may offend or disturb some listeners.
