Resumes: Gliding Your Job Search Over the Bumps Ahead

An interactive event for job seekers

Challenges ahead in job searching seem ever-present. Among changes in organization structures and reporting hierarchies, and emergence of new functions, which should you prioritize and adapt to? Which additional strategies should you be considering? We will consider issues such as flattened job ladders, emerging and more specific job requirements, new job roles, and not-so-clear terminologies used in new titles. Based on identified and prospective changes , we will raise questions about the purpose and content of your resume along with productive alternatives for pursuing your job search. We will also show a variety of communication pieces that can reinforce your resume. These act as conversation starters and quick-reading one-sheet summaries for networking and following up. Join other job seekers in affirming what works in today’s job climate – and what does not! Please bring questions, observations, and tips to share with the group.
