Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dholrhythms Dance Company is dedicated to promoting the artistic and cultural heritage of India by sharing the vibrant rhythms of Punjab through classes, workshops, performances, and events. Since its inception in 2003, Dholrhythms has evolved into a unique platform where people from diverse backgrounds can come together to dance in a non-competitive and positive environment.
The diverse group of women in Dholrhythms Dance Company have become one of the most celebrated ensembles in the Bay Area, captivating audiences with their unique style and rhythm. Led by co-founder Vicki Virk, whose Punjabi heritage is at the heart of their work, Dholrhythms blends traditional Punjabi folk dances with contemporary influences, creating a fresh and exhilarating experience filled with joy, energy, and passion.
