Alberto Ledesma: Exhibit Opening Reception
"Cartooning Against Silence: Futile Prayers from an Undocumented Heart", curated by Oakland native and UC Berkeley Assistant Dean, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Dr. Alberto Ledesma. "Cartooning Against Silence: Futile Prayers from an Undocumented Heart" will run from May until the end of June. Dr. Ledesma shares with us drawings, sketches, illustrations and, prose that express the immigrant experience and trauma we carry.
Opening reception on Tuesday, May 12 from 4:00-6:30 pm, with a brief curator talk by Alberto Ledesma on the 5 floor.
On Tuesday, June 2 we will hosting an artist and author talk with Q&A from 5:00-7:00 pm in the Mystery Room on the 2 floor.
