Have you exhausted the possibilities of revising your resume? Are you still are not getting the results you want? Join us in reviewing actions you can take to revitalize your job search. The job postings are the source of authoritative answers. Your use of the key words in postings is a determining factor in moving past Applicant Tracking systems (ATS) that filter out 70 to 80% of resumes submitted online. You can learn to read between the lines of the job posting by researching industry trends and leading competitor companies. In addition, you have an option to surround your resume with reinforcing communication pieces. Together these offer a more complete and memorable impression. You might also reassess your resume, bringing it into tighter relevance to the needs found in the job postings. Have you thought of projecting your job search three to four years into the future? In doing so, you may detect a need for upleveling certain skills. It is always a good idea to keep up with LinkedIn, which continually raises its standards and adds new features. Other activities to consider are online and in-person networking, using specialized job boards, and following in-house recruiters at companies you would like to work for. Plan to add your own ideas and ask questions as we work through issues.
