Travel through time and space with this very special program for kids for Black History Month featuring history, pop culture, and science!
First, hear author Angela Dalton talk about her engaging biography of Nichelle Nichols, who played Lieutenant Uhura on Star Trek: To Boldly Go: How Nichelle Nichols and Star Trek Helped Advance Civil Rights. Then, see a special space show presentation (by Astro Everywhere) related to Lieutenant Uhura and her job on the show as Communications Officer and how we communicate in space.
Afterward, you can visit Sistah Sci-Fi's table, where they will be selling copies of To Boldly Go.
