Immerse yourself in the brutal sounds of death, doom, grind and other subgenres of metal and punk this winter

The Art & Music department at Berkeley Public Library presents an extreme music listening session, focused on the heaviest, bleakest sounds from the fringes of noise and beyond.

Feel welcome to bring a copy of your favorite tune on a slab of wax, tape, or cd, and we'll try to work it into the mix. Share what you love about it or simply add to the mayhem!

Attendees will also have the opportunity to win a near mint copy of Slayer's "Christ Illusion" on vinyl which will be raffled off at the end of the session.


WARNING: All are welcome, but be advised - this listening session will feature intense music at loud volumes with lyrical and artistic content that may offend or disturb some listeners.
