An event for active job seekers
November 12, Wednesday, 5:00-6:15 p.m. Pacific Time
Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85811359139/
How is the pace of your interview invitations and job offers? Would you like to get more activity? We will examine a proven model of steps to move through the stages of any selling cycle: Opportunity, Engagement, Eagerness, and YES! As we examine these four stages in the context of job searching, we will discuss the inner workings of the process: (1) OPPORTUNITY: Being visible to HR, recruiter, or influencer. This task entails passing the applicant tracking filters, leveraging relationships, and initiating connections. (2) ENGAGEMENT depends on resume layout for quick impact, your credibility factors, clarity concerning your value, stickiness of value elements, and high relevance. (3) EAGERNESS entails confirming your match to a job, fitting the culture of a team, relying on connections that count, suggesting solutions that solve problems, and your overall fit to the company and team. (4) YES! Commitment and closure benefit from asking good questions, understanding the offer, negotiating skillfully, and onboarding. As always, we will discuss the priority interests of participants. Please bring questions, ideas, and job searching tips to share.
