The California Blue Runners share Zydeco and Cajun music from southern Louisiana when they return to Claremont Branch for a live concert.
We roll up the rugs and move the book shelves when the California Blue Runners return to Claremont Branch for a live concert. The California Blue Runners specialize in the Zydeco and Cajun musical traditions of South Louisiana. Accordionist Andrew Carriere, rub board stylist Haywood Douresseau, rhythm guitarist Tom Stewart, accordionist, fiddler Andre Nigohossian, bassist Michael ($Mike) Esterson, and drummer Sam Siggins showcase songs in French dialects. This event is a welcome to patrons new and old. An invitation to tour our building (now 101 years old), meet our team, and see our more flexible programming area, made possible by the Berkeley Library Foundation.
