El Brujo y la Sirena (the wizard and the mermaid) is a multi-lingual musical story about music and the sea, where a mermaid lives singing through the waters of the Americas. One day, a nice and funny wizard hears the mermaid’s song, for the first time ever, and seeing that he doesn't have it in his magic books, decides to go look for her. Come join el Brujo, Cascada de Flores, and the sea creatures that help him on an adventure, where you will dance, sing and learn about the different languages, songs, rhythms and guitars of different places in Latin America. Ages 4-8

Cascada de Flores is firmly committed to music and cultural education. They present a bilingual music and dance program for children in schools, libraries and theaters such as Montalvo Arts Center (Saratoga), Herbst Theater (San Francisco), Mexican Heritage Plaza (San Jose) and Lobero Theater (Santa Barbara). They have performed in over 1000 Western US schools and Libraries reaching over 500,000 children with their educational program. Recently, the Dúo brought their musical story to la Mixtecan hills of Oaxaca, Mexico. Close to home, members of Cascada de Flores present ongoing bilingual classes and special workshops for children and families focused on traditional Latin American folk songs and Mexican traditional music and dance.

El Brujo y la Sirena es una historia musical multilingüe sobre la música del mar, donde una sirena vive cantando por las aguas de las Américas. Un día, un simpático y divertido mago escucha el canto de la sirena, por primera vez, y al ver que no lo tiene la canción en sus libros de magia, decide ir a buscarla. Ven a unirte a el brujo, Cascada de Flores y las criaturas marinas que lo ayudan en una aventura, donde bailarás, cantarás y aprenderás sobre los diferentes idiomas, canciones, ritmos y guitarras de diferentes lugares de Latinoamérica. Edades 4-8

Cascada de Flores está firmemente comprometida con la música y la educación cultural.
