West Branch is hosting a reception in celebration of the Berkeley Public Library's Braceros farm workers photography exhibits.
Stop by West between 12:00pm and 1:00pm for refreshments as we celebrate the moving images of the Bracero farm workers. The photography exhibits are on view August 26 through October 15 at two of the Berkeley Public Library locations.
Central Library 5th Floor exhibit includes images from the Henry P Anderson Collection and the Rick Tejada-Flores Collection.
West Branch Teen room includes the Ernest Lowe Photography Collection.
Bracero Program: From the 1940s to the 1960s, temporary Mexican workers in the United States were called Braceros, the Spanish word for "one who works with his arms."
