West will be showing the 2010 documentary film Harvest of Loneliness: The Bracero Program
Harvest of Loneliness, directed by Gilbert González, Professor Emeritus of Chicano/Latino Studies, UC Irvine, explores the historical accounts of migrant Mexican farm workers brought into the U.S. from 1942 to 1964 under the temporary contract worker program known as the Bracero Program.
This event includes 56 minutes of film and time for discussion and light refreshments.
