Author Peter Tieryas visits the North Branch Library to talk about his new book, Kill or Be Killed.
KILL OR BE KILLED: This illustrated prose thriller comes from acclaimed novelist Peter Tieryas (Mecha Samurai Empire) and visionary artist Mike Choi (Moths, U & I). AWA and Roy Lee's Vertigo Entertainment (A Minecraft Movie, It, How to Train Your Dragon) will co-produce the film and TV adaptations to bring these tales to life on screen.
Synopsis: Your phone buzzes. A message awaits. Someone you love —spouse, parents, child — is in danger. The only way to save them is to kill. Not only that, but you need to livestream it so everyone can see what you’ve done. He’s known as the Friendship Killer, and this is his twisted game. But when one of his victims decides to fight back and expose the killer, it leads him into the dark underbelly of the tech industry and social media.

Peter Tieryas is the author of Kill or Be Killed and the award winning Mecha Samurai Empire series (Ace Roc). He's had hundreds of publications and worked previously at companies like Facebook, Pixar, Sony, and EA. He's currently a narrative director working in the game industry.
