Jay Lotus Allen is a local, multidisciplinary artist and a Berkeley Civic Arts Grant Award recipient in 2021 and 2024. Jay's work is experimental and arises from exploration of different media and art forms. Their recent work for the Senior Shine Project is inspired by activities at the North Berkeley Senior Center and on walks in the surrounding neighborhood. The exhibition includes experimental series of acrylic monoprints and cyanotype prints as well as mixed media paintings.
A variety of Jay's paintings will be hosted for the month of July on the 5th floor at the Central Library.
Join us on July 7th for an opening reception where you can meet the artist and see their work. Refreshments will be provided.
