Author Shoshana von Blanckensee will be in conversation with Toni Mirosevich to discuss her vibrant, queer coming-of-age debut Girls Girls Girls, a tender story of first love filled with 90’s nostalgia and a piercing exploration of the choices we make in the thrilling search for ourselves and home.
Shoshana von Blanckensee lives in Berkeley, California, with her partner and kids. She is an Oncology Nurse by day, and a writer by any available moment. Girls Girls Girls is her debut novel.
Toni Mirosevich is the author of seven books of poetry and prose, most recently, “Spell Heaven,” (Counterpoint), a collection of short stories about a group of outsiders in a Bay Area coastal town. Her cross-genre writings have appeared in Best of the Bellevue Literary Review, Best American Travel Writing, AutoBioDiversity: True Stories from Zyzzyva and elsewhere. A recipient of MacDowell fellowships, the First Series in Creative Nonfiction Award and a Lambda Literary Award Finalist for “Pink Harvest,” she is a Professor Emerita: Creative Writing at San Francisco State University. Recently she was named the Poet Laureate of Pacifica, CA.
