Join us for line dance classes with instructor Carah Herring!
Line dancing in the library offers a way to get your body moving while we turn the community room into an energetic dance floor. We invite people of all ages to learn rhythmic routines while forming community.
Carah Herring has been leading Group Exercise classes for over 2 decades (She started when she was 10, right?! Lol). Carah teaches Zumba, Line Dancing, Boot Camp, and Mat Pilates via CardioWithCarah.com – both on Zoom and in person at various gyms, studios and parks. Her Carah’s love of fitness stems from her extensive dance background, which includes years of classical ballet, modern, Pan-African, liturgical and jazz dance training. Carah is a graduate of Bennett College for Women, an HBCU in Greensboro, NC. She earned her Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and volunteers with the Northern California HBCU Alumni Associations Coalition. You can find Carah on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok via @CardioWithCarah
Carah’s advice is to KEEP MOVING. Even if you don’t have a gym membership, just log onto YouTube and pull up dance videos or exercise videos for 5 minutes. Take a walk around the neighborhood for 10 minutes. Drop down and do a 30-second plank. Your body will appreciate anything and everything.
This class will be held in the community room at THP South Branch. Please stay tune for future dates!
