Basics for building comic characters and the planets they play in.

Bugs, Beings, and Beyond. Please join us for an all ages comic art workshop in celebration of Free Comic Book Day. Our featured guests, artists Dimetria Tokunbo and Violet Alexis Bea, will teach us how to draw shapes and textures in comic art, with cartoonish bugs as a specific point of reference. After learning these art techniques, attendees will be given space to come up with their own comic-inspired creations. We will provide art supplies and a display of comic books, mini zines, and handouts for you to enjoy. May 1st, 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., West Branch Community Meeting Room.
