Join us for a moving screening of Healing Lahaina, a powerful documentary that follows one family's story of survival, loss, and community resilience in the wake of the 2023 Lahaina wildfire.
On August 8, 2023, a devastating wildfire tore through Lahaina, Maui, claiming over 100 lives and displacing thousands. Healing Lahaina, directed by Laurel Tamayo, offers a deeply personal and emotionally resonant look at the aftermath of this disaster through the lens of her own family’s experience. The film explores themes of grief, hope, climate justice, and the unbreakable spirit of the Lahaina community. Join us for this special screening and post-film discussion as we honor the lives impacted, reflect on the power of community healing, and explore how we can build resilience in the face of a changing climate.
