In honor of Women’s History Month, join us for an afternoon of courage, creativity, and camaraderie as we celebrate the suffragettes who fought—quite literally—for the right to vote! Explore the world of Suffrajitsu, the jiu-jitsu self-defense art used by the Suffragette Bodyguard, and test your strategy skills with Suffragetto, the historical board game of protest and resistance. Learn about the bold activists who took a stand through our poster series.
Enjoy tea and biscuits while making your own activist buttons, inspired by historic movements. Throughout the event, we’ll be screening documentaries on suffrage and resistance, providing an immersive look into the struggles and triumphs of the past.
Attendees are encouraged to don their finest Edwardian protest attire—hats, gloves, and sashes most welcome—as we raise a teacup (not a truncheon) to the power of women’s resilience!
